The buzz around Disney Cruise Line’s fifth ship, the Disney Wish grows weekly as more and more details are revealed.
Early on we were given a sneak peek into the new dining rooms that guests will rotate through on board throughout their cruise, and now we have some delicious details to share about menus and experiences on offer in all of the dining/entertainment venues.
Worlds of Marvel Restaurant
This brand new and exciting dining adventure is all immersive, with stars of the big screen- Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie and Brie Larson- all reprising their Marvel roles as part of the “Avengers:
Quantum Encounter” interactive dining experience on deck 4 aft.
When guests sit down to dine in the Worlds of Marvel Restaurant, they will first be hosted by Ant-Man (Rudd) and The Wasp (Lilly) as the pair showcase the latest advances in super-hero, including the world famous Pym, technology.

Things go awry when super-villain Ultron attempts to steal the tech, so Ant-Man and The Wasp have to call in Captain Marvel (Larson) and Captain America (Mackie) for help.
Guests will be able to watch the action-packed encounter, taking place on the upper decks of the Wish as diners look on via screens inside the restaurant.
Behind the scenes tidbit: coordinating the film shoot, specifically for the Worlds of Marvel immersive dining experience was “a labor of love” according to Walt Disney Imagineer Sachi Handke.
“It took coordinating three separate film shoots in three separate cities to make this happen,” she revealed.
The dishes served in this MCU restaurant will take inspiration from real and fictional Marvel settings including Wakanda, Sokovia, China, New York and the United Kingdom while a “Stark-itecture” approach to design is used throughout the restaurant, all the way down to the dishes and the flatware,
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure
Guests dining in this Nordic style restaurant on Deck 5 aft are on the invite list of the royal engagement party for Queen Anna and Kristoff.
Diners will be seated around the 360o stage and be entertained by live performances by Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf, accompanied by “local” musicians playing your favorite Frozen ditties.
If having Elsa and co singing for you as you eat wasn’t already enough, the show will be full of special effects including invisible fiber optics embedded in the ceiling to conjure Elsa’s icy magic, and panoramic windows will magically transform from real-time ocean views to the colorful lights of the Aurora Borealis.

We’ve also learned that guests eating in Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure will have the chance to meet Frozen’s Oaken: the beloved owner of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna, as he hosts the dinner.
“He’ll visit tables, he’ll visit guests, and he’ll make sure that everyone’s having a great time,” Handke revealed, while explaining that everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf will also be interacting with guests as they dine.
“Guests will be able to interact with him like never before as he travels around the restaurant and lends his signature humor to the celebration,” Handke said.
Behind the scenes tidbit: Guests will be introduced to an all-new way to meet Olaf.
According to Disney, there will be some “true-to-scale, cutting-edge puppetry” that allows Olaf to “talk and interact with families as they dine.”
Seeing as the restraint is a large venue, Olaf will have “It’s quite a large venue so he will have “VIP transportation” as he visits from table to table. Intriguing!

Family-friendly dishes like Seared Chilean Seabass and Juniper Spiced Roasted Free Range Chicken are the first Scandinavian inspired dishes that have been teased by Disney’s chefs to be on offer.
1923
The third restaurant in the Disney Wish dining rotation is called 1923, after the year brothers Walt and Roy Disney founded The Walt Disney Company.
The restaurant consists of two dining rooms, the Walt Disney room and the Roy Disney room, both of which combine classic Hollywood glamour with “a dash of Disney whimsy.”

Planned for deck 3 midship, the restaurant is touted as “an elegant celebration of the company’s legacy, paying homage to the golden age of animation and offering a tasteful tribute to its Californian heritage.”
The entire venue displays the evolution of Disney animation with the help of more than 1,000 props, sketches and other pieces of artwork and character models from16 Classic Disney Films
These 16 films which span the decades from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs all the way through to Frozen 2 all encompass the theme of enchantment, which Imagineers used as their inspiration for the Wish’s design aesthetic

Behind the scenes tidbit: It took some time, but the Disney Imagineers managed to narrow the 16 ‘enchanting’ featured movies being showcased in 1923 to: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), Bambi (1942), Cinderella (1950), Alice in Wonderland (1951), Peter Pan (1953), Sleeping Beauty (1959), The Sword in the Stone (1963), The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), The Princess and the Frog (2009), Tangled (2010), Frozen (2013), Moana (2016), and Frozen 2 (2019).

Light and fresh California cuisine, including a Napa Valley heavy wine list reigns in 1923. Sample menu items provided include Porcini Spiced Ahi Tuna and Fennel, Bartlett Pear and Tatsoi Salad.
Palo
Adults only restaurant, Palo Steakhouse will be located on deck 12 Aft. Here adult guests will be pampered in two distinct dining areas inspired by the “lovable pomp and circumstance of Cogsworth”, the enchanted clock from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
This evolution of the Palo restaurant that avid Disney cruisers already know and love, offers spectacular views, premium steaks, mouth-watering Italian dishes, and an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list.
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods
Said to be inspired by the seaside boardwalks featured in “Mickey Mouse” animated shorts, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is a fitting addition to the Wish’s upper decks’ Mickey & Friends-themed family district.
Here guests can grab a quick bite for lunch, dinner or anytime in between. The Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods offers a variety of fan-favorite treats from uniquely themed food stations including Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream.

It sounds like we have the dining experiences all wrapped up- watch this space for the next exciting Disney Wish update as she prepares to set sail on her maiden voyage on June 9, 2022.
